When the next hottest technology arrives, most people don’t say, “This will change the way people live their lives.”
However, looking back you're kicking yourself for not joining in when your roommate was mining Bitcoin, or for not creating the next hottest AR filter on Snapchat before the platform blew up.
Tech moves faster than anyone can catch up and it's not practical to chase every new trend that emerges. However, being an early adopter can be incredibly rewarding. You can only find the next big thing if you’re looking for it!
Workshops
Yeah, I know we are not the first to come up with this concept, Lucy Larkins and Don Graves already did the heavy lifting in the 80s.
However, we want to change how people approach learning. As builders ourselves, we understand that hands-on experience is crucial, and that is why we want to give people a safe space to build, work, learn and grow together.
Who Should Attend?
Our workshops are open to anyone with a curiosity and enthusiasm for technology—whether you’re a seasoned developer, a student, or a hobbyist looking to learn. Best of all, there’s no cost to participate. We believe in making learning accessible to everyone. It’s the perfect opportunity for those ready to dive into new challenges.
The format
The ask from our end is pretty simple:
Show up
We share the task, what we are building, and how to build it
Team up or go solo to create a prototype with your own twist, with our help
Once complete(or not), share your creation with the community
Enjoy pizza and drinks while furiously building and having fun!
We want to make you so comfortable with the building that you can pick up any new technology and just build — only limited by your imagination
Who are we?
We’re just two builders who are passionate about creating a community that isn’t afraid to explore the uncharted territories of technology. We've witnessed how catching onto early trends can create incredible opportunities. Our workshops are designed to simplify the process of learning new technologies through hands-on learning and community support.
Why the name Giveago? That is a closely guarded secret, you need to ask us at a workshop to find out why!
