Workshop #001: How to create interactive AR filters on Snapchat using Lens Studio
How to build visually engaging Augmented Reality experiences with minimal coding skills
Why would you want to learn how to build filters?
Augmented Reality (AR) has been a trend for at least half a decade at this point, but how many of you have gone out and made your very own AR filter?
This question is what motivated us to start Giveago to help people bridge the gap between hearing about technology and building something useful with it. AR lenses were a nice starting point as they are not too difficult to make, yet there is massive scope to create breathtaking experiences with these tools.
On a practical note, learning how to make Snapchat lenses can position you towards building interesting tools on emerging platforms such as mixed reality which is predicted to be the next major computing paradigm after smartphones. Who knows if AR is the future, but at least through this workshop, you’ll get a taste of building in AR.
